This article describes step-by-step how to set up an email account in Mac Mail. First, it explains the procedure if no email account exists yet, by selecting the option "Other Mail Account." For existing accounts, access via the "Mail → Accounts" menu is explained. Then, enter your name, email address, and password, and add the server names for incoming and outgoing mail. After setting up the account, it is recommended to disable the automatic management of connection settings in the preferences and adjust the port if necessary.
