This article describes how to set up an email account in Windows Live Mail for Windows 7 or 8. The process begins by adding a new email account, where the user enters their email address and password. It is important to manually configure the server settings, selecting the preferred server type (IMAP/POP). The server name and specific port details, such as port 465 for the outgoing mail server, must be entered. Finally, save the settings, and the account is ready to use.
