This article provides step-by-step instructions for setting up an email account in Mac Mail. First, the user is prompted to select the option "Other Mail Account...," then enter their name, email address, and password. Next, the server names for incoming and outgoing mail must be added. After the account settings are searched for, automatic connection settings should be disabled, and if necessary, the port and SSL encryption should be adjusted. The IMAP path prefix should be set to INBOX, and the settings saved.

4. The account settings will now be searched. This may take a little longer. Be sure to wait until the following window appears and select Mail:
5. Open Settings... from the Mail menu list
6. Navigate via Mail - Settings - Account to the account you just created. Now uncheck "Automatically manage connection settings" and, if necessary, correct the port and SSL encryption there, and set authentication to Password.
7. Click on Advanced. Set the IMAP path prefix to INBOX. (Default for IMAP)
8. Save the settings
