Log in to the Plesk administration tool. (Forgot password?)
Select the Websites & Domains tab and click the Add Domain button:
Enter the domain name and select Website Hosting as the hosting type. If you want to use this domain for email, please make sure the Enable email service option is activated. The checkbox for Enable DNS service is also required for resolution to work. The following article will assist you with this.
You can leave the Location of website files at the predefined entry. This refers to the subscription association. In most cases, there is only one subscription, so no other options can be selected. You can create any number of domains within a subscription. The folder where the website files of a domain are located is defined in the next step as the Document Root.
Next, enter the document root of the website. This is the directory where the website's files are stored. Plesk will automatically suggest a value, but you can also change it.
Please always choose a new root directory for an additional domain. If a domain is deleted, the contents of the used root directory will also be removed, even if it is still assigned to another domain.
Also, leave Preferred domain set to the option None. Learn more at Plesk: Domain with and without www
Optionally, you can also enable the Let's Encrypt SSL certificate and Git at the end.
Let's Encrypt
Let's Encrypt secures your website with a free SSL certificate. The certificate renewal is performed automatically.
For Let's Encrypt to be activated, the domain must properly resolve to the server. If this is not yet the case, Let's Encrypt can also be activated at a later time.
Git version control
If you enable Git for this domain, the corresponding repository will automatically be loaded into the root directory. If you do not need Git for your project (which applies to most users), you can leave this option disabled.
To ensure the domain resolves correctly to the new hosting, activating the domain according to the instructions in Plesk: Activate Domain is still pending. Of course, this step can also be done after the website and email addresses have been created.
