This article describes how to increase the security of your my.metanet.ch account through two-factor authentication. Users can use either SMS or an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator to receive an additional code that is required alongside the password for access. The instructions include logging into the customer portal, activating two-factor authentication, and validating the mobile number or scanning a QR code with the app. For future logins, the code will be required in addition to the password.
To enhance security, you can additionally protect your my.metanet.ch account with another authentication method. With this procedure, you are even better protected because the password alone is no longer sufficient for access. An additional code, which is sent to your mobile device and valid only once, is also required.
Proceed as follows:
- Log in to the customer portal https://my.metanet.ch. (Forgot password?)
- Go to the “My Account” menu at the top right.
- You now have two options to activate two-factor authentication: either via SMS or alternatively through an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator.
