To add a new FTP user in the Plesk administration tool, log in and navigate to the "Websites & Domains" tab. Open the advanced options and select "FTP Access." Add a new user and choose a username that is difficult to guess. You can restrict access to a specific subdirectory and generate a secure password or set one yourself. A secure password should include uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. - Log in to the Plesk administration tool. (Forgot password?)
- Make sure you are on the Websites & Domains tab, open the advanced options with Show More if needed, and select the menu item FTP Access.
- Add a new FTP user.
- Now define the FTP user. To prevent misuse, it is recommended to choose a username that is not easy to guess.
| If you want the FTP user to have access only to a specific subdirectory, enter the corresponding path under Home Directory. You can generate a secure password using the Generate button or enter a password you define yourself. A secure password includes uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
