Outlook 2013
- Access Tools – Account Settings.
- Select the relevant account and click Change.
- Click on More Settings.
- In the Outgoing Server tab, select The outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Make sure Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
Outlook 2016/19
- Go to File → Account Settings.
- Then double-click the account you want to change.
- Click on the menu More Settings → Outgoing Server.
- Select The outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Make sure Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
Mac Mail
- Open Mail → Preferences from the menu bar.
- Navigate to Server Settings for the affected email address.
- Ensure that the username and password are correctly set in the SMTP settings.
Thunderbird
- Open Tools → Account Settings.
- Go to Outgoing Server (SMTP).
- Select the outgoing server and click Edit.
- Enable SSL and enter the server name of the email address.
- Choose Password, normal as the Authentication method and enter your email address as the Username.
iPhone
- Under Settings, select Passwords & Accounts.
- Select the relevant email address.
- Tap on SMTP Settings and then on the Primary Server.
- Select Password as Authentication and enter your email address as the Username.
Android
- Open the Email app and go to Settings.
- Select the relevant account.
- Scroll down and tap on Outgoing server settings.
- Enable the option Login required.
