How do I activate the Domain Protection transfer lock?

This guide explains how to set up the transfer lock for Domain Protection in your customer account.

Note: Setting up the transfer lock requires a phone number for SMS backup as well as an authenticator app for two-factor authentication.

 

1. Open domain overview

1. Log in to your customer account.
2. In the left navigation, click on Domains (1).

In the domain overview, you will see your registered domains.

2. Start setting up the transfer lock

1. Find the desired domain in the domain overview.
2. Next to Domain Protection, click on Activate now (2).

3. Set up two-factor authentication

On the following page, you can set up the transfer lock.

1. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
2. Enter a phone number for SMS backup.
3. Enter the code from your authenticator app.
4. Click Confirm setup.

The transfer lock is then activated for the selected domain.
