The Remote Updates feature enables easy use of DNS Cloud as a slave nameserver while zone management remains on your own master nameserver. After setting up an export script and configuring the remote update address, DNS Cloud automatically handles the setup of slave zones. Various export scripts for BIND, PowerDNS, and Plesk for Linux are provided. When importing into DNS Cloud, the file must be in DOS format.
The Remote Updates feature allows simplified use of DNS Cloud as slave nameservers. This way, zone management can continue to be handled on your own master nameserver.
After a one-time setup of the export script and its automated execution, as well as configuring the remote update address via the DNS Cloud interface, DNS Cloud will automatically set up the slave zones from then on.
For this purpose, we provide the following export scripts:
| BIND | bind_export.zip |
| BIND - Conversion to DNS Cloud Format (without SRV Records) | bind2dnscloud.zip |
| PowerDNS | powerdns_export.zip |
| Plesk for Linux | plesk_export.zip |
Please note that the file used for import into DNS Cloud must be in DOS format.
