The SMTP Relay is a product option for sending large volumes of emails, which requires an existing hosting contract. It is suitable for newsletter distribution, email marketing, and as a smarthost for local mail servers. Supported protocols are SMTP, SMTPS, and Submission. There are two versions: SMTP Relay Lite for up to 5,000 emails per month and SMTP Relay for up to 20,000. Sending policies include limits of 40 emails/minute, 2,000 emails/hour, and 5,000 emails/day. Violations will result in service suspension. Packages can be ordered through METAhost and resellers.

SMTP Relay allows sending emails via the following protocols and services:
- SMTP over port 25
- SMTPS over port 465
- Submission over port 587
The SMTP Relay option is available in two versions:
SMTP Relay Lite
For delivery of up to 5,000 emails per month
SMTP Relay
For delivery of up to 20,000 emails per month
Sending policies
To avoid blacklisting and/or significant delivery delays by recipient mail servers, it is extremely important to send emails in a properly staggered manner. In addition to the monthly volume limit, the following limits must be strictly observed:
- maximum 40 emails per minute
- maximum 2,000 emails per hour
- maximum 5,000 emails per day
