Introduction
The focus in developing the new Website Builder version 8 was on further simplifying the processes for creating websites. Not only should visitors be able to use the website optimized on any device, but you as the operator now also have the possibility to use the editor (edit mode) with full functionality on tablets and smartphones.
New Features
- Full functionality also on iOS and Android devices
- New user interface
- Easier text editing
- Improvements in the gallery and slideshow module
- New optimized design templates
- Simple embedding of individual PDF documents
- New drag-and-drop model for easier creation of new columns
In version 7, there was a separate "Columns" module that had to be positioned first in order to then place further content inside it. In the new version, creating columns is possible directly in the editor. Below you see an example of how an image module is directly repositioned to create a third column. Afterwards, it is repositioned again to free it up (a single large column).
Switching Process
Existing pages have the option to switch to the new version free of charge. The following notice is displayed in the editor. You can also continue working with version 7. To do so, select "No, thanks."
